Donations to ABC Prodein Hospital and Primary School, Cusco, Peru

After a successful donations drive to collect lightly used and un-used sports uniforms, gear and equipment, I decided to pack the items prior to our trip to Machu Picchu, Peru. I worked with a local agent in Peru to coordinate donations to ABC Prodein, a local hospital and school at Cusco, Peru.

After we landed in Cusco on the Dec24th, 2017 to acclimatize ourself before our long hike to Machu Picchu, I headed out to ABC Prodein to distribute the donations. I walked into the streets of Cusco rolling down my suitcases and experiencing a new country and its Christmas celebrations. As we walked through the street I noticed small roads and vehicles busy with many people. On reaching the location, we were greeted by a Sister Mariam who showed us around the facility giving very detailed tour of the whole hospital. Sister Mariam is not only a doctor but also serves the charity in multiple capacities!

The facility provides not only typical chruch services but also educational and medical services! In the 3rd floor we got to see the patients who were admitted and had severe health conditions.

We saw a family with few children and their dad. Kids mom was getting some out-patient medical treatment.

Myself and my parents felt so grateful for the their hospitality and it was quite a feeling to cherish.
